M. Martina Shelton is a Barrister of England and Wales and an Attorney-at-Law. She is a trailblazer for most female lawyers and a role model for others looking to practice law. Her willpower and perseverance in the face of adversity have led to her obtaining an honours degree in Law (LL.B.) from the University of Wolverhampton, England in 2004. She subsequently obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) Degree from the University of Wales in 2006, a Diploma in Bar Vocational Studies from Cardiff University (Wales) in 2006 and a Certificate in Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School, Jamaica, West Indies in 2008.

Her interest in academia continued into her career as she undertook a position as a law lecturer and tutor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Technology. Martina is a versatile Civil Litigator. Her diverse practice includes a range of general commercial litigation matters with particular focus on Contractual and Company Law disputes. She also specializes in Personal Injury matters and debt collection issues as well as in Entertainment Law litigation, Estate and Wills, Pensions and Trusts and Corporate and Property Law and Practice. Her expertise extends to employment law matters and alternative dispute resolutions as well as to matters involving international trade.

With a lifelong passion for business and entrepreneurship, Martina pursued her dream of owning her own business in 2010 when she started her own Law Firm, Shelards Attorneys-at-Law. The Firm is a boutique Law Firm boasting a reputation for providing over Ten (10) years of exceptional legal service. To Date, Shelards Attorneys-at-Law continues to distinguish itself as a top-rated small law firm.

Prior to starting Shelards, Attorneys-at-Law, Martina was exposed to the world of international finance when she worked at Walkers Global Law Firm in the Cayman Islands in the International Finance Department. She also previously worked for D.O. Kelly & Associates, Attorneys-at-Law in Kingston, Jamaica.

Martina has an advanced knowledge of Spanish and she is a Member of the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn, London.
